  • Update on this video...I no longer own this truck, I put it through enough hell that a frozen night in a mud pit made by the TVA Kingston TN ashspill cracked the tranny so I now have a 2008 Tundra 4x4 w/5.7...I had one before and loved it but it was 2wd, this one is pretty nice and I'm sure I'll get a lot of haters for going to Toyota...I still love dodge and chevy (but also still HATE ford trucks) but 80% of the parts in my Tundra are made in America which is more than some others can say lol

  • I did the same with a Land Rover And was more Easy to go up the hill.

  • @Chickhunter69 Yea land rovers are really nice, I love the LR4 especially with its full lockers

  • Don't remove my comments, asshole.

  • @zinzxonx what did you say, im sure if i removed it it prob wasnt very good

  • if this post shows up 3 times, sorry. is the quad cab short bed setup the best "stock" setup 4 traction as opposed 2 the reg cab or long bed etc. ? i'm lookin 2 buy a quad cab diesel shortbed myself.

  • @CGON4Z21 well honestly it just depends on what you wanna do with it, it does weigh more but that can also be a bad thing...these diesels are very front end heavy and with the stock tires mine had i would leave black marks from a stop sign without ever meaning to...if your towing something that wouldnt be a problem though, if you are mudding you may even want to add some weight in the bed...i could be very wrong so maybe someone else will chime in....go ask some people in forums, way smarter

  • turbocharger sond make crazyyyyyy

  • That needed some batter tires for better traction

  • I'm A huge Mopar fan and like Dodge performing at it's best. I've watch a lot of Dodge ram hill climbing and I have to say I was going be humiliated if they couldn't climb up the hill and finish the challenge, but with the tremendous horsepower I believe its 330HP and 400lb feet of torque (correct me if I'm wrong, guess) they slowly but surely accomplish the task. Ram Tough!

  • Sure is quiet when it left

  • @cdoghill I think they had to go to the 6.7 because emissions kicked in and EGR, dosser valves and DPF's rob HP so they had to jack it up a liter to make basically the same power, my boss has a '08 quad cab short box 6.7 and he says he only averages like 18mpg with it, havnt checked on mine yet but the "lie o meter" on my '05 5.9 says im averaging 22.7 mixed driving

  • @1chevroletcorvette Mine don't

  • @Drewtitus The ram 2500 power wagon has front and rear lockers as well along with winch and 9" solid axle articulation on top of the stock suspension, but the power wagon and raptor are more offroading trucks i honestly think gmc has best 4x4 in regular trucks...even though im a Dodge guy... my buddy RARELY got stuck in his Sierra with BGF's and that was in 2 ft worth mud and snow

  • @CGON4Z21 for mud you want wider tires to stay afloat which isn't easy with a 6000 lb truck, pavement wise i see no difference, i only burn rubber when i boost up. so mainly your tire size and weight decides your traction but the quad cab short box probably weighs the most even more than a reg. cab 8 ft box (because of the rear seats) and personally i dont like the look of 8ft boxes, all depends if you haul a lot, the quad cab short is plenty of truck for me

  • @CGON4Z21 I got an '05 quad cab short box 2500 cummins and before that had a '03 quad cab short box hemi, the traction you speak of depends on what traction you mean ( snow, mud, pavement, etc) my hemi has 275/60r20 tires which oddly enough were wider than my buddys 285's but because they were wider they weren't that great in snow, they floated instead of digging down to pavement, my 2500 has 265/70's plus diesels weigh more so i'm sure ill get more traction this winter.
