My dad and brother made this car out of PVC pipe maybe a year and a half ago. All the metal equipment my dad made by hand out of air grade aluminum, at it runs great! Max has maybe 230ish miles on it already! (He has a sped-ometer and a mile-ometer).

  • That is a great idea!! Thanks for inspiring me. Metal tubing is not always practical for pedal powered contraptions. i am going to use pvc pipe where I can, hope you do not mind

  • your missing a motor

  • hi ,great build there and very practical being pvc ,would there be any chance of getting the designs for the vehicle as ive been trying to find something like this for my 7 yr old who has a bit of trouble riding 2 wheel bikes

  • its really nice. when i was a kid I did something similar. the trick always with pvc is to make sure how you are going to glue everything together. practice and practice dry runs without glue until you know for certain what you are going to do once you apply the cement. In my case I went the lazy way, greasing the joints for easy handling, and attaching by screw. But afterwards I marked all joints with permanent ink, took screws out, and glue it all, then refilled the holes and painted.

  • Hey, I am trying to build this for my sons birthday. We you able to put some plans together. I especially need it for the steering assembly. It would help alot if you could post it. Thanks

  • It needs a floor. If you're moving and your feet get caught between the pavement and the frame it's not going to be pretty.

  • Hi max!!! U showed this to me today. Baahahahaha nice hair haha it's adorable and I wana ride it!!!!!

  • Imagination and a bit of shade tree mechanic, I really like this little device. Might give it a go for my grandkids, I'll be the most popular old stick in the mud on the block.

  • You should put an engine into this car. how much this car weighs?

I really like the design, simple, but good!

  • I think the trick is to have two of the pedal cars and a friend to race around with.
