Gary Megson Dreams

As a life long Bolton Wanderers fan I have finally resigned myself to giving up my season ticket due to the dreadful dross played under manager Gary Megson.

Why is everyone so against Megson? We played "boring" football under Big Sam, it isn't new! The last time we tried flair was during Sammy Lee's brief tenure and we wound up bottom of the league. Megson has done a good job of steadying the ship; we're a small club and you only have to look at the plight of Charlton to see how it can all go badly wrong after the loss of a long-term manager. Stop moaning because we've stopped punching above our weight. 15 years ago mid-table Premiership was a dream

If the Wanderers only ambition is not to be relegated from the premier league but without ever wanting to qualify for Europe then what is the point? I remember the excitement I felt under Rioch and Allardyce continued that journey. A relegation fight is not something to be feared. I am a fan who was once proud of his team and is now both bored and depressed by the football style and lack of ambition. The connection I have had all my life has been severed by powers beyond my control.

its a shame that megson has put a consistantly good side and wasted them . its his fault the style of football he has told them to play. they should get rid of him , worst bolton manager tied with his predecessor sammy lee.

i still hold a season ticket holder and i hate wat megson has done to the club b4 megson we were in europe megson hads turned us from a top 8 club 2 a championship club stuck in the premiership he has no sence hes dropped steinson wen he was one of r best players last year we need a new manager now b4 its 2 late

Thought i left a comment yesterday, but neway. I'm right with ya pal. Been a season ticket holder for about 12 years until now maybe. Football in general is a joke these days, doin my head in, all about money. Tired of watching nil nil and having maybe one good move and chance every two home games and paying hundereds of pounds for the privilage. Not really value for money. Its called FOOTball for a reason. Now start fuckin playin it.!
