I made an Experimental film of Kent, Ohio. I thought Kent, Ohio was an interesting town it not like any other ohio town . Being there felt more of a vibe not being in Ohio. Kent like a college town in somewhere in new england area or Austin tx feel in many comparison feels like being in towns of Ann Arbor, Mi or Olympia, Wa or Burlington Vt, San Francisco, Paris, London England, manchester england, greenwich village, and New Orleans (you got the idea). I recommend the other towns to visit in Ohio ( in my opinion) that are cool are Kent, some of the cleveland areas where the art scene happens (there is a great music scene) , some of akron (Highland Square area), yellowsprings, Oberlin and Cedar Point (theme park best rides in the world), these are the only areas I recommend to viewers, who are into the art scene, out of state or other than U.S. Those are the ohio towns that are more welcoming to visiters or outsider ( the ones that like the films: Alice's Restaurant, Science of Sleep or 24 hour party,and Tim Burton's film bands like the beatles, rolling stones, radiohead, misfits, cure, bjork, stereo lab, smashing punkins, george micheals, frank zeppa, alice copper, velvet underground, classical music, jazz, or any fine arts and andy warhole, ect. you have an idea ).

i was born in middletown,OH..it would be great to wander thru the rust belt and do a photo-documentary with still and videocamera...you are an artist..keep up the great work..

into the art scene? why not ohio city? tremont? or the clifton area in cleveland.. hmm either way comparing Kent to the likes of Paris is astounding to me as I've traveled Europe - and Kent is certainly not reminiscent of France!

Not much to see here just another mid-west town with a college attached... yawn.... Worst of all the Cops are Dicks!!!

I've lived in Kent al my life, and I must admidt, this is one of the weirdest- well, no, there are weirder things here, but it's up there- things i've seen here. Or about here. But it's interesting nonetheless.

Hey! My son was at Kent last year. Glad to see this. You may want to check out my videos, some of my paintings of my kids were inspired by Kent.
