Probably one of my favorite tips is the ability to make 3D gates, window panes, or stained glass frames -- with a symmetrical lattice! It's really easy and you get a GREAT effect.

  • Thank you soo much for the wonderful tuts. Im learning bryce and poser..i have seen stuff done by lighthouse, studio maxx, maya, they coast alot though, which one would you suggest? Being somewhat new to this meduim would it be better to perhaps stick with bryce and poser? I make independent films and want to learn to do my own effects, short animations and such. Thank you again for your help. Many Bright Blessings~ Terri

  • If you're going to do animation and short films I would probably suggest 3DS or Maya. I haven't been "in the biz" for a few years though, so there may be something newer and cooler.

  • Yet another Great tutorial,I mean who would get that kind of idea? And it does give an awesome effect

  • LOL -- thank you. Necessity is the mother of invention.

  • Very nice, would have liked to see different colors in at least two sections of the glass. Looks like using a different layer for each color would be the way to go on that.

  • Yes, definitely. In fact, I made a version that had one layer for the wall, one for the molding around the window, one for the leading in the window, and one for each color of glass. Unfortunately we're limited by video length and size in YouTube so I have to cut some of the tutorials down to the basics and let people expand on the idea themselves. :)

    But thanks for the feedback!

I have one question though. What's the Glass bump for after you erased the previous frame with the texture of Cast Iron? Where can I get one?

  • Nice. Very helpful. Thanks.

  • yeah, i use blender, its easyto learn and you get great results!

  • Request director status? with your vids you should have NO problem getting it- and it lets you do MUCH longer vids.
