Let's Play Xenosaga: Episode II PT8 - Shion is Gone, Guys

Apologies fot the delay, but alas, some sad news first. There will no longer be any co-commentary from Matt and Trent due to circumstances beyond my control. Which means I have to brave the game by myself, NROOOOOO.

At least I'll get it done much much faster...

So, in this episode, we get to chill at the Uzuki Residence, where anything resembling Shion from the first game is now long, long gone.

I weep.

Yeah, because Xenosaga was supposed to lenght around six episodes, the guys at Namco wanted to try new stuff, wich is really understandable Ray.

But they failed miserably, like changing the writters of the plot. And here we are with Shion look and personality raped for no good reasons. I do believe that you wouldn't mind the look if Shion remained the good girl from the first game.

Shame Matt and Trent couldn't co-commentate anymore, I'd be willing to if you want. Anyways Shion is really unlikable in every way now, her personality is worse, her design is much wose, her voice is worse, and even in battle she's worse. Personally I almost never use her in the second or third game. At least she is somewhat better in the third game right? At least she got her original and better VA back.

Apparently, they thought making the main female character an asshole would make the game more 'mainstream'... Friendly characters are SO old-fashioned! Let us all be douchebags to each other and cut our hair.

At least Jin has been pretty cool himself.
