Senator Jim Webb is one of the rising stars in the Democratic Party. Webb is a decorated Marine who served in Vietnam and was former Secretary of the Navy under the Reagan administration. In 2006, he was elected senator of Virginia after defeating the Republican incumbent George Allen in a tight and closely watched race. I spoke with him today about how he sees the challenges facing America and the future of the Democratic party.
I saw this interview on television the other night. Jim Webb has one thing wrong, China does not have National Health Care, they have private insurance and they have over 800 million uninsured from what I've seen on other documentaries. I think Ted Koppel covered this in his series on the Discovery Channel about China. Otherwise good interview.

***** ...the middle class is falling "apart", I say behind because of lower wages...Yes, just as in the classic, 1939 Novel "The Grapes of Wrath", by John Steinbeck, the CEO's and upper management ( Fat Cats ) driven by greed forget that the "Orange Pickers" can not afford to by there Oranges. I guess it's OK if you can afford to buy protection from the criminals that poverty creates.
