Our guide told us that the round, flat stone in the middle of the "BALL COURT" was turned over to reveal that it was hollow and that a jar containing murcury was under it.

Thanks for sharing! I did this boat ride to Lamanai also, back in '05. Saw lots of wildlife at Lamanai and loved the ruins!
