Operation: Crucify This!

After the incidents of Red November the Merczateers drop their combat blockade against the Alliance Navy at long last.

The battle began that Sunday morning with a small air raid in the AN home sim, Dorien. An Alliance Officer bragged that the attack was no match for their superior numbers. Moments later Marshal Huszar gave the all clear for the grunt flood, and all hell broke loose.

Their base swarmed, their troops demoralized, and their sim on it's last legs, the Alliance Marines resorted to desperation measures in hopes of escaping their own barracks which had become a death-trap.

Marshal Lehane's Battle Report:
- Admin Tower was held consistently throughout the assault.
- ANMD barracks was held for roughly a half an hour.
- 39th and 2142 were spotted defending, roughly 2-3 troops each attended.
- Nobody got banned.
- Luca Vasilopita used a STRANGELOVE five times, which is an infraction under STABLE.

The AN put up a minor counter-attack, but were pushed back and returned to Dorien to lick their wounds. The end result being Merczateers greatest, if not laggiest comeback.

SL is not designed for combat, it is still fun bcause every person gets the same lag as the next since it is mostly server side,, but if you like making your character super modified and not just some default configuration then SL is good for that.. but if you like good fighting and performance buy a game made just for combat...

I never hit Dorien up during that attack. At the time, I was on defense in Badnarik (when I was in Mercz), because they needed the crewing there.

The retaliation strike by AN was very substantial, however; they sent four or five guys at first, some of them pilots, who until then knew nothing about our experimental EMP cannons, which tore their aircraft to shreds. Good times. :>

I miss battles like this. Too bad they don't happen anymore.
