Great band. The only downside: too much talking/coughing in the background!!!
-
DUDE EVERYONE FINDS INTONATION A PROBLEM BUT ITS ACTUALLY SUPPOSE TO SOUND LIKE THAT the piece was made for the murder of JFK and the wrong sounding notes at meant to be for the sorrow and sadness of his death
-
ohhhh god the tuning clarinets come on........
-
I CAN HEAR WAVES AGHHHH. It was good other than some intonation stuff.
@cnr200220062011 you're too right
-
@jellboy21 too FAST in the beginning. but we can talk interpretation all day
-
their lower brass needs help. As far as dynamics, they have the fortissimo. They need to learn how to play the opposite end of the spectrum.. and how to build better. But that's the case with most high school bands. Other than that, a good playing.

This director actually took it faster than what the composer specified in the score. I took it a little slower with some rubato in my interpretation to get the feeling of the "Stages of Grief."
-
clarinets be careful on b flat after square 3
-
@clarinetjheila use superglue for pitches on clarinets.

In 2007, Illiana was the Honor Band at Superstate Illinois so they were not judged. My son played the clarinet, so I can;t help you with any tips! Thanks for viewing the video!
