@moser8 how is it "clear" that you had only been playing for 6 months and couldnt set up an amp? maybe you're just a very mediocre guitarist.

I have a Tele w/ stock Alninco 3s on it that can growl and sound just as good as an expensive Ibanez or Jackson with some EMGs or Blackouts on it. Just gotta tweek ur amp & pedal right. And some thicker strings.

Single coils can handle metal a lot better than ppl think. Throw some EMG or seymour Duncan p rails on there n ur Tele with be just as hard as if u had a 60/81 EMG humbucker set up

Ok, from what I hear your settings are like: Treble 10, Bass 2, Middle 0, you just can't get a good tone out of that. To be honest, Fender Frontman 15 can sound better (and that really says something :D)

i clearly had only been playing for 6 months and had no idea how to set up an amp.
It sounds amazing now with my 87 MIJ strat sooo if you want to compare you frontman to that then lets do it.
