Hi HotGaSoLine
Ref: 'not quite right' ..... I had a great flight down at the end of a 'flying day' at Bishop Hill (West facing slope, Fife, Scotland)
That day a 'sea breeze' had moved inland (20-30Km) so everyone else was walking down due to the 10+kts East wind.. I simply walked backwards under the wing to the top of the slope, 180* spun the wing to launch into the tail wind :-)
Ground speed back to the farm/pickup was about 30-35kts, turning into wind with 400ft AGL to spare :-)

@murrayhay so if the wind is not quite right u can ride them, yyyha...;-)

One thing to remember about this site is that there are horses stabled in the bottom field in good weather (below and to the left)

be interesting to see this site again in a more favourable wind, I stopped there for a shufti a month or so ago, looked like it might go.
good point...will keep that in mind when I visit.

In the right conditions you can get GREAT lift over the wood to the right...
Another option in light (but sorable) conditions is launching from the top field as this places you well into the lift band just below the road, once you cross (at the pole.. NOT mid wire!) the cable on the hill side of the road.

@megapwn333 Hi and Happy New Year, the Nova Vertex is a '98 design, the oldest wing I often fly dates from the start of the 90's, I also have wings from the mid/late 80's!
