You have tried it then? How was it shotty as you say. Just wondering because I would love to have some user feedback here for myself and others.

"I think they're gonna be pretty popular" is 100% false, however I'm one of the very few people that has been waiting since before the iPad for this exact machine. Shotty touch controls because of it being Win 7 and only 3-4 hours battery life is definitely a fine trade off for the specs this little guy comes with and what I'll be able to do with it. I'm curious how it handles over time, once I've gotten a bunch of needed programs onto it.
