After a court ordered a man to get a mental evaluation. He was taken to a hospital but left. When he was picked up again, he kicked out the window of the patrol car, injured himself and was returned to the hospital., He walked away again, somehow got a shotgun and barricaded himself in a home. Deputies tried to get him to come out.SOT: SHIRLEY CHATTERTON, Neighbor: "We heard the banging on the windows next door asking whoever was in there to go to the door. Open the door, come to the door." But the man stayed put and officers went inside to get him.SOT: Steven Desposito, FDLE Special Agent: "Officers entered the house, as the deputy opened the first door, which appears to be a bedroom door, the suspect fired at least one round that we know of, striking the officer, fatally wounding the officer." Ordered to get a mental Evaluation? And he fought back. Makes sense to me. So you blame the man? Not the police for following orders to go forcefully make a person do as they say. How close or we to a society that uses the police to lock up any one they deem unfit for it. very close. Cops disgust me period I have no respect for them any more at all.
