Let's settle this, Pokemon names are ALOT shorter while Digimon names are well... really long (some anyways) Megathunderbirdmon (yes, there's one with that name).

If a Pokemon get's on your nerves, put it inside it's Pokeball...Digimon still don't shut up even while inside their digivices. Digimon talk so you can chat to them, Pokemon say their names (or speak telepathically). Rayquaza has HYPERBEAM, Shine Graimon (or whatever) has laser guns.

In short: buy kirby games to avoid controversy.
