I was diagnosed when I was 14 I had every scan going for crohns disease. I ended up having the choice of the operation or not. So I choose the operation and they decided to do keyhole surgery but that went terribly wrong my bowel split where they attached it together and I got perienitas.I had to av another operation to drain the fluid what has leaked into my body I nearly died. Was in intensive care for a week the HDU Wing. I was in hospital for 5 week But that's life

I was diagnosed when I was 12, I had the endoscopy, colonoscopy, barium meal, mri scan, the lot! I was first put on steroids but with no success, then pentasa and aziathiaprone, I was tried on the modulin, until eventually I was given Methotrexate injections and they worked well, for a while. I'm now 20, and going through another relapse, ive had more tests done and got 1 to go before they'll start me on Infliximab. Fingers crossed this work, cause if not the next step for me is surgery!

I was diagnosed with Crohn's, Ulcerative Cholitis, and IBS in 2009 when I was 27. I told the VA i was digging through some bad chemicals while I was in Marines and that could be why I have all of this, they are still currently running test on me to find out if thats the case, in the mean time they pump me full of pills, I take 14 pills a day. Ive had 2 outbreaks so far, the one in 2009 lasted 3 months and the last one 2011 lasted 4 months, thats 7 months spent in a hospital in 2 years!
I can't believe all these judgmental comments. Just because something works for you doesn't mean it will work for all people. He's sharing his story. Share yours instead of putting him down.
