Looks fun...the lights on the top of the rack make me think you hit the jackpot on a slot machine.

I used it to control the lights in my room, and also monitor the server and internet connection. This project is now abandond, my new project is driven by AVR microcontrollers.

Rackbron this stuff you did is amazing 5 stars :D :P
I am just getting into making modules kinda like yours but with a slight variance to suit my linux server and my friend's linux cluster :P. This is an excellent concept that can be increased further to do even more than what you have now :P keep up the good work.

what does the web server cost to maintain so you can control your lights from your cell?

my web server is located in my apartment, so the only expense I have is the internet connection.

why do you use AVR? is it not funnier with a PC and a touchscreen tft? u can build it into the wall and make nice animated manus... all this stuff ist not really posible with AVR... or much harder lets say ;)

I like systems where the computer is not a essential part. It is possible to connect AVRs to the computer, using the com or usb port. That, using a touchscreen would be cool. Then our lights won't turn off if the computer do.
AVR microcontrollers is also small, cheap and does not use a lot of power. So I love them:)
