  • @mtounian I think you meant 2:30 :)

  • As great as John's poem is, Barney's laugh at about 1:30 just makes it that much better. Says so much about the boys with just a chuckle...

  • "And WHERE the fuck is BARNEY?!"

    Love it!

  • I'm Scottish and of Irish descent.

A big Ronnie Drew fan and of course the Dubliners. But there was always something about Ronnie for me. Maybe it was that voice of his; and when I heard it as a youngster, I knew there was a party just around the corner.

This poem and the ballad of Ronnie Drew is a wonderful tribute to a great man.

    Here's to you Ronnie.

    RIP

  • What a lovely, touching, personal tribute to a giant of a man. John knew the man so well and the words were for Ronnie, our dear, dear Ronnie. Now he is at peace now along with his beloved Deirdre. Beautiful words, John. Thank you.

  • A Great Poem. Thank you for writing this John!

  • Lovely John....

    Barneys laugh... Ha!

  • A great tribute to a great man.
