@racrx32 have u looked into prolotherapy? it's a new therapy i'm considering that essentially uses sugar solution injections to stimulate your immune system into re-newing its repair on your ligaments. (the sugar doesn't do anything but stimulate your own body). seems very legit, i've had a consultation with a doctor who does this.
@noclassatall I tore the denticulate ligament between my lumbar and sacral, muscle also. It has about ruined me, this was 4 and a half year's ago. Over the course of a week,it tightened up my entire back up the center into my shoulder blade's, trap's and neck. I was overly athletic for years and had a prior ijury to my lower back that popped realy loud. this would give out 5 year's later. it about paralized me, and yes it did damage my spinal cord, shoot me an email, tell you more
Informative, however some of the pronunciation is slightly off, and it is ligamentum or ligamenta flavum (long a), not lamina flava, as you said it attaches from lamina to lamina I can see how this mistake could be made. The ligamentum flavum is also a ligament of a slightly different make-up, as it is made of more elastin rather than collagen (like most ligaments) to allow for it to return to it's original length upon returning from flexion rather than buckling back onto itself.
simple and helpful! bravo!
