Very interesting. Was waiting for you to go into one of those houses so that I could see the inside structure, etc.
Did you visit here in the winter? Would like to view a winter scene of these.
Also, may I suggest that in future that you carry a recorder with: hopefully, some Japanese music; ie, Enka; since you didn't talk during your walk-thru.
Just a suggestion.
