Flashover is the point in which everything in your home catches fire -- no one can survive. See how quickly flashover can occur and how it can be prevented. Home fire sprinklers save lives and property from fire. They act before the fire department is even notified. In this video, produced by the National Fire Protection Association, we show what happens while a house is burning and the local fire department is on its way.

  • why is it the NFPA can set up a burn like this but they prevent any dept from doing a training anywhere close to this without removing everything in the house first. Including the asbestos

  • @CaitlynYoung1 There are sprinklers that they hide in the ceiling that pop out when the room reaches a certain temperature. Trust me, it is worth the investment. Lives are cannot be replaced, property can be.

  • @CaitlynYoung1 It doesnt have to be stylish. As long as it saves your life, thats all that matters.

  • Tell me when there is an actual stlyish fire sprinkler they make for the house other wise I am not going to get one

  • thank you NFPA for the much needed information!
