Very impressive. Your attention to detail is outstanding! Love it.

The real Leota face is now projected internally - from the inside of the head. However, when the floating crystal ball isn't working and she's back on the table, it goes back to a front projection.

Very talented!

brilliant - I love the way you used modern small tech to simplify the problem. Nice lateral thinking.

I thought ML was projected onto the crystal ball rather than using Pepper's Ghost, no? BTW, do you knoa w how the image is projected onto the new, moving crystal ball? Is it synced mechanically, by computer (through some sort of servo system), or maybe optically? Great video!

It is projected in the real attraction, I just did it with pepper's ghost because it was easier. On the Leota moving ball in Anaheim, they project it from the front that's in sync with movement of the ball. Florida has a newer version that has a small projector inside the ball for rear-projection.

what did you use for the dome-shaped piece of glass to project the head onto? i tried using the top of a waterbottle...but that didn't work at all.

It's an acrylic half-dome I had. You can get something like it from a vending machine that sells those really cheap toys. It's the glass in front that does the trick, by reflection, not projection.
