I have a question for these repentents: have you ever considered flying back to the new free, sovereign and democratic Iraq and giving these confessions in front of Iraqi journalists and authorities? They need to hear about this more than the Western world does. Maybe they will cheer and clap too...

@askegg Well when basically all the media on television is corporately funded, and the majority of people watch corporate funded news programs, that's what you get. Ignorant masses thinking they're tackling the issues because they're watching CNN. Corporations are the ones who benefit from the wars, they don't want people watching this.
It's just been in the last few years my critical thinking developed enough to become disgustingly dissatisfied with lack of information. Here I am.

There were instances where Hussein had plastic surgeons reconfigure inmates' faces to where they look as close to Saddam Hussein as possible. Crazy huh? I think so too. However, to suggest that ALL Iraqis wanted to be liberated from Hussein's rule is not accurate.

the sentence was extreme enough, the particular crime would not be committed. Indeed, Hussein was effective in this regard -- VERY effective. Now I am not saying that Hussein was a saint, but he effectively chilled the various factions out. Dujail, Iraq is an example of how he dealt with people who did not like him. Back in the early 80s (when USA and Iraq were allies),a small number of people protested him going to that town. In response, Hussein slaughtered the residents using sarin gas.
