BMW 128i factory - no modifications. First run...lot's of work to do - but, just a fun grudge match inbetween preliminaries.
First time Delk Adrenaline Drag Series race for me. Working on reaction time. For a beginner mine was .213
Best time on 1/8 mile was 9.730 (no roll out) - it should be able to do better. Automatic - not manual.
3.0 liter, DOHC, 230hp, inline 6

  • Okay - I've just upgraded the red 128i that I raced above to the 135i Twin Turbo - as much as I loved my 128i - there's no comparison!!! Watch for more to come!! I'll post a comparison video soon.

  • good win. I'm getting the INJEN for my 128i...will post a clip after installed. will let u guys know in a couple weeks

  • Let me know what you find. A cold air intake would help; but, if I understood the setup of the INJEN prod., it avoids kicking the sensor by restricting some of the airflow that would hit the sensor, which defeats the purpose. I could be wrong. I'm looking at adding a modified CatBack because no one has specific parts for the 128i's at this time. The CatBack should get few more hp and make it sound so much better. But, it's got to be modified because they don't have one for the 128i yet.

  • Go 128! Any performance mods to your car? I have a 128I w/ Sport Pkg. and have been thinking about the Injen cold air intake. Love driving my baby just the way it is though! Peace!

  • I personally have passed on the Injen. It's got a good reputation; but for $300-$400, too much. My brother, who is Platinum I-car certified, built an after market one of his own design that worked great on a couple of cars without the EOC's that ours have. We tried it and the EOC went nuts. The sensor thought the car was getting too much air! So, we are testing a few things; but any intake adjustment should give you about another 3-5hp and save you about 4-6mpg. Faster and better mileage!

  • Pretty cool 128i. Except thats not a Celica as your photographer said at the end! LOL

  • I know. I had raced a Celica just prior that was pretty similar in color. We've given him a hard time about it -but, to give him his due - it is hard to see what's really going on when you're trying to film - and that was with all the arms and talking going on around him too!! LOL

  • @kwj37087 What MY is your 135? obviously it's not a 2011-2012 based on your sentence, nut I'm just curious... thanks...

  • Cool, if you do any other mods then maybe share it here. Looking at wheel/tire pkgs now but have to be careful with offsets with this car. Enjoy your 128 dude!
