Dorian and Mel: Dreams and Schemes, Part 4

Dorian goes to every bank in town before asking Asa Buchanan for financial backing in her new business venture dealing with sea coral. All decline. Meanwhile, Blair gets a visit from the late Ian Armitage's family attorney; when she learns that Kelly stands to inherit millions, she pretends to be Kelly. Blair's motive in doing this is to get enough money to legally fight to get Starr back from Todd and also to help out the Cramer family. Dorian is outraged at learning of Blair's deceit until Blair reminds her that Kelly is now fascinated with trying to do something meaningful in her life and that includes thoughts of protecting the environment and whales. Blair warns Dorian that the millions Kelly stands to inherit will likely go to the "whales." Dorian reconsiders her initial objections and decides it would be in the family's best interest to continue with the deceit since Kelly is so stricken with grief at Ian's death and not in the frame of mind to invest the money in a way that Dorian and Blair find appropriate. A scam unfolds involving "Bic," who Dorian calls the "Fixer," and Stephen Winwood (Mark Goddard) who is Ian's attorney. Todd and attorny Sam Rappaport are inadvertently involved, as well. In other matters, Dorian makes it clear to Mel that she does not intend to forgive him. He sets his sights on Renee, but things don't go well when they have breakfast together. Dorian shows up! 4 of 6, follows "Dorian and Mel: Tea and Tranquility"
