The ruler of a current precessional age was seen as a Mithra or Vishnu (maintainer of the age) and the ruler of the next one was seen as a Varuna or Shiva (destroyer of the age) but became Mithra of the next one. Each of the twelve rulers had a Krishna or Christ, and there were certain things that pertained to a Christ which of course would be applied to Jesus. While I thought the Zeitgeist film was excellent it was weak on this apparent 'debunking' of Christianity.
