At http://www.50stateapes.com we've come up with an innovative adjustable high rise handlebar solution that allows you - the rider virtually infinite variations for both comfort, and legal compliance.

If you have high rise handlebars for your cruiser you know the importance of compliance with state laws. Most states restrict the height allowances for "ape hangers" Some states have no restrictions at all, but if you're on a road trip the police in most states will ticket you for exceeding their handlebar height laws.

With 50 State Apes adjustable handlebars, a simple and fast adjustment can be done just about anywhere and anytime to avoid tickets and hassles with law enforcement.

It's not only for legal purposes that 50 State Apes come in handy, but for safety and comfort as well.

  • @Hawn83, take a look at the other video on the site, the bottom of the 2, it explains the electrical wires. The top video ( the one you referenced ) depicts the cables, brake lines, et al. The wires and cables are not an issue. The bars have been road tested in the max up position, max down position and every position in between, for a significant amount of time and we have had no problems.

  • i bet all the cables and wiring automatically adjust too right!? cause if they were to long or to short they could bind up or catch on something keeping you from maintaining control. dont get 20" apes and you wont get messed with. jut put on some 14" or 16" apes if thats what you like and buy the right extended cables, hoses, and wiring and have a safe ride instead of an "adjustable" mess. just my .02

  • Wow, not a cruiser guy or an ape guy, but what a great idea. Always wondered how the apers got state to state legally and now I now how mthey can. And just as curious, I wondered how the apers didn't get sore or numbs arms and hands. fantastic idea 50 state ape guys, seriousely.
