U2 WINS ALBUM OF THE YEAR, TAKES FIVE GRAMMYS

U2 surprised many experts and had a strong showing at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards, held Wednesday, February 8, in Los Angeles. The band won in all five categories it was nominated in, including the prestigious Album Of The Year award over albums by Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey and tourmate Kanye West. An almost apologetic Bono took the stage at the end of the night for Album Of The Year after hugging Paul McCartney and kissing the hand of West. He gave kudos and encouragement to his fellow nominees. Backstage before the show an unapologetic Bono talked about why the band is at the 48th Grammy Awards and seemingly owning the awards for the last four or five years. He said he's still hoping to turn people...

Can you believe it? Beyonce can win 5 Grammies at 1 night, the same amount that Mariah have won in her whole 20 years career? Grammy is just suck and useless. But it's okey, you know, Madonna, Whitney, Elvis, Celine, Mariah all only won a few Grammies but look at them, they are all legends! They don't need Grammy!

Kanye shouldve gone on stage and said, "Yo Bono, I'm really happy for you, Imma let you finish, but me and mariah's albums sold more sold more copies and deserve the award more than you! *shrugs*

of course u2 will win whenever they are nominated,....the Grammys is made up of old people who do not seem to know what is relevant in music anymore...they just vote for their favorite old bands which they listened to when they were young... mariah and others might have a chance of winning big in the future if they don't release music when u2 does, OR, if the current geezers who make up the Grammy committee all die out and get replaced by younger, more open-minded ones...

I'm pretty sure they worked hard, but once again the grammys screw Mariah over. She should've won all 3 top awards and they know that

Seriously, U2 are great, but Mariah deserved this. She really did. All that she went through to create the Emancipation of Mimi, and it is one incredible piece of art.

That U2 album has to be their worst one. Worst of a bad bunch of albums in the naughties. Atomic Bomb was carried by one single, Vertigo, and even that wasn't very good and sounded half arsed. The Grammys are a joke

@leoapp1223 yea but there's one difference about mariah and beyonce. with mariah, its about her voice. only her voice. and beyonce its about shaking her tail around on stage. thats what the people want. sex sells. mariah should've won like 100 grammies by now.
