That's what you get for not saving up a little more and buying a decent pistol. Hi-point guns are the worst guns ever produced. Poor nigger gang bangers buy hi-points because they're cheap and disposable, and there are plenty of poor nigger gangsters in this country. That's the only reason the Hi-point company is still in business.

The problem is likely the magazine. You just need to load a mag full of 9mm's and let it sit for a week+. The main problems with Hi-Points are the magazine springs. . .just keep them loaded for a while before shooting it and it will work flawlessly. I've got one (for fun) and wore the mags in a bit and I've never had a problem since. Very accurate and reliable since then (and I own many high quality handguns for comparision)

bad extractor? i know hi point will fix their stuff for free sure they look like a turd but they're not so bad i shot a .380 no problems, im thinking they like to eat ball ammo still wouldn't buy one though the carbines seem neat but for the price id have more fun with a 10/22

send it back to hi point. it dose have a no questions asked warranty they will take vary good care of you and replace it with a more reliable one. i can dump 200 rds through mine and have no problems since i sent it to them for a tune up

my hi-point 380 has never jamed, i got mine used. its just a brake in period on all guns usually 4-500 rounds. fools

Dead honest my hi point has not jammed since my first 50 rounds through it. I have now put about 5000 rounds through it with no jams :P

@celraysoda i have experience with hi-points if you know how to mod the mag they are pretty good guns a friend bought one and had that problem i fixed it for him in about 2mins and it never jammed again yet also i love how the grip feels on them i'd have to say hi-point has to be my favorite grip for a stock pistol

@elesjuan Rifle and Pistol magazines are often incorrectly called "Clips" typically by the uneducated weapons handler. Unlike the semantics debate of "silencer" and "suppressor" a "Clip" and a "Magazine" while serving a similar purpose are two completely different items.

While I realize you will continue to refer to magazines incorrectly, thought I'd post anyway.

I own a Hi-Point C9.. Ive run over 300 rounds through it without problem. Its very accurate out of the box. Took my CCW class with it and all my groupings were on target and baseball size or smaller. They have a lifetime warranty and best of all, they are inexpensive. When you buy a gun out of the trunk of a car, its not the gun that has problems, its you! Ive been shooting a variety of weapons since I was 8yo. The Hi-Point has performed just as well as any Colt or S&W that I've used.
