This is a walkthrough of a cobblestone to diamond block converter using mainly the Buildcraft and Equivalent Exchange mods from the Technic Pack add-on to Minecraft.
I originally made this "engine" to process the output from a Buildcraft quarry, but because that generates many types of input blocks, it took three engine units to do all the processing. Using a cobblestone generator provides cleaner input - all cobbles - and its speed can be more easily adjusted.

The Technic Pack can be found here: http://technicpack.net/?page_id=252
I made 5 of them in a row and I I added steam engines with möbius fuel coming in and I had 15 diamond in 1 min I'm trying to get 100 a min

Gem of eternal density is pretty cheap a it is...

@Maxwillkil Well, it takes 32 diamonds and some infrastructure of its own to make the dark matter. But even if want to call that cheaper than setting up this processing plant - a point I'd argue - there are other reasons why something like this could be of use. for example: If you want to have finer control over how your raw materials are processed, this setup could be modified to shunt half of each material type to chests for easy access or automated factory raw materials.

@Maxwillkil It can also be adjusted to give a different end product, like basalt if you planned to build a massive dark castle. It's just a bit more versatile than chucking the GoED in an alchemical chest. :)

@chris50630 Wish granted. Not only that, but an improved model with better intro graphics and resolution. (Though the game sound could have been lower...)
Find it in my channel. :)
