  • The dancing was non-stop for the ensemble throughout the whole show, though this was the only real true "dance" number. The ensemble was on stage basically the whole time and movement was one of the most important aspects of this show. The box trot number was the other "dance" number. After doing each performance, one would be absolutely exhausted, yet exhilirated at the same time. A wonderful show, if done right.

  • How is it possible for a human's legs to move like that? Michael Jeter is an amazing performer. :)

  • @mikeysussex I beg to differ. You're confusing Mr. Jeter with Mr. David Caroll. Carroll was the original "Baron". At the time of the Tony's, he was too sick to perform. Brent Barrett (seen in this clip) performed in his place, while Carroll was in the audience-nominated. Mr. Jeter died..but many years later after doing a TV series and many films.

  • Michael Jeter's legs are mesmerizing

  • I was lucky enough to see this on Broadway with the original cast and this was one of the best numbers ever on Broadway. Such incredible talent. One has to wonder how many moments like this have been lost to HIV/AIDS. Jeter was a bundle of energy. It's a shame more people didn't get to see just how talented he was.

  • there are so few showstoppers. this was one of the best. the theatre shook as people

applauded this performance. how natural. today everyone is technically good, but who leaves this kind of impression for a lifetime?

  • That probably has to be one of the most exhausting dance routines on broadway. The dancers were going hell for leather the whole time. Wonderful performances. Thanks for uploading.

  • @archangelo thanks!! Thought I recognised him.

  • @megarno91 Yes, Michale was in Sister Act 2. (Father Ignatius)
