Description by Artist: This is the first song out of my first book that I teach my students. This will show you how to do pulls and hammers with your left hand. Once you learn them you will do them on any other song the very same way. In regular rolls we have for example 4-3-1-5-3-1-5-1. In Cumberland Gap we have 4-3-1-5-3-hit 5/1. The hit will take up for the last three notes. There's no exceptions from this. This is how the pros do it. That's why I have made the slow right hand and slow left hand for my videos. So the student can see just how I play the song on both hands note for note. So there's no way you can miss anything. You will have fun playing this song slow and fast.
