Nice! Love where this is going...
-
I'll add "noclip" and "god" console commands for the next version. :-)

Thanks for the answer. I find this "Tour tool" equally useful as the whole idea of lightning the model and navigating through render in real time. It's kind of like spectator mode in some multiplayer FPP games :)
-
It is part of the LightUp plugin; its using the LightUp "Tour tool" that allows flying or walking around your model.
-
How can you fly around the room like at 0:37? Is it part of LightUp plugin or some other one that enables that? It seems to be much more comfortable than Walk function.
-
Turn on Skybox in the LightUp Preferences

I'm sure you would share the same opinion, but I think GSU is powerful software. And it's not as easy as it looks sometimes.
I use GSU at University for my own work, but my technical software teacher refuses to teach us GSU. He says it's for 'Garden Design'. You can create such complex geometries.
Instead of GSU, we are being taught Rhinoceros and 3DS Max. Which of course are advanced software's, but my main question to you is.
How can i defend my argument towards my teacher about GSU? [=

I come across quite a few academics that are very anti-GSU and come out with all sorts of absurd comments like that. Not a lot you can do in the face of determined ignorance..

this looks like one of the post promising cg concept stage tools to come along in some time...if you get a second, one question: on the latest demo for mac os x, I've tried to create a skybox with 6 jpgs, all with correct _up _down ect. names...but my sky only appears white? Perhaps a tutorial on setting up a skybox would clear this up for me and some other users. Thanks.

Hey thanks!
Skyboxes images need to be square and power of 2 (eg 128,256,512,1024) in size.
The next version of LightUp (v1.3) now accepts HDRI images and does all the mapping automatically which makes life simpler.
