What a song... heard this for the first time yesterday, love the deeeep bassline and the keyboard/organ... what have we done to have to listen to the crap we have today...???

The part "My buddy Jim Bass he's a working pumping gas and he makes $2.50 for an hour. He's got rhythm in his hands as he's tapping on the cans... sings rock m roll in the shower" is about my uncle Jim Bass.

Apparently John lived in Forest Falls and drove to Hollywood/LA every morning, and would stop in the gas station where my uncle worked about every morning at 4:00 am, and they'd smoke a bowl... So... he put him in his song.
