This is the assembly process for an On30 4-6-0 locomotive. The mechanism is the Bachmann HO "Henry" from the Thomas the Tank Engine line, and the body and pilot are from the Bachmann On30 Mogul. The idea was from Mike Miller, as detailed and done much more effectively in Carsten's 2008 On30 Annual.

  • Good eye, the boiler and cab are from the Mogul. I was a bit disappointed with the mechanism, and I'm considering creating another 4-6-0 using the Athearn 2-6-0 as a start-point. The mechanism is excellent, and the proportions work out about right.
