@zokameda in connection to the above you are right and that makes it all Bulgarian if we have to be more correct. If you trace the geographical dispatch of the Bulgarian tribe you will find out that 10/11 of the countries you have named above were part of Bulgaria, or bulgarians have past some times during the ages (no idea about Hungary). So that makes it to originate from one the same place (nation-tribe).

Браво на Теодоси! Новатор! Изведе този традиционен инструмент на съвсем различно ниво! Престанете да спорите какъв инструмент е кавала...Това е един от 3-те най-древни инструменти!

THIS IS BULGARIAN SONGER AND BULGARIAN MUSIC !! KAVAL IS tipical instrument who used in BULGARIA .. so SHUT THE FUCK UP !!
@ktm066 I don't know about the serbs but you don't have any idea what you're talking about. Kaval is used in Albania, Macedonia... but it's more bulgarian than Hristo Stoichkov and Asparuj Khan together. And Spasov is bulgarian as well. You know, sometimes, some people get out of their homes and travel, so if you see serbian whatever it doesn't mean the musicians are serbians.

Why do all of you care so much for nationalities? It's amazing music we're listening to here, let's not spoil it with politics!
