Step 1 - Open your image and unlock the layer.
Step 2 - Select your object in my situation it is the car using any technique your comfortable with i use the pen tool.
Step 3 - Make a selection / feather radius 3
Step 4 - CTRL + U change the hue and saturation settings.
Step 5 - Whilst the object is still selected CTRL + C / CTRL + V to copy and paste the selection.
Step 6 - To the new layer you just pasted select the mode soft light.
Step 7 - Merge the layers,
Step 8 - Duplicate the layer so you have a copy and open the hue/saturation window ( CTRL + U )
Step 9 - Saturation to -100 and blend mode to soft light.
Step 10 - Save your image as a JPEG.
Step 11 - Subscribe ;)

  • Please tell the audience what they are doing instead of "push CTRL U, CTRL E" or whatever. that way, we learn to navigate the program, not just shortcut keys. when you use the shortcut keys it is frustrating to the student since she doesn't really know "what command" she is using through through th shortcuts.

  • Please dont take this as an insult or offense from it, but you really should work on not breathing into the mic so much. Also you might want to hold the mic a little farther away from your mouth so the volume will stop roller-coastering so badly.

  • very useful! The only thing I didn't care for was the 3 minutes of plotting the path around the car... I just skipped it but... still...
