Well... no, actually it's the usual genre -> mystery, drama, romance. And the prequel is the same (ef a tale of memories)
You can see the info on any anime database. Browse it on MyAnimeList or ANIDB.
It has a lot of melodies, and the music is a small part of the anime, but the story is not about music if that's what you were wondering about.

@x3mSlayers thanks man, i hadn't heard of a sequel to a tale of memories (which is my favorite anime!), if i hadn't found this vid and seen your comment i wouldn't have thought about looking for it, thanks man, gonna go watch it now
