Comedy veterans and co-creators Penn Jillette and Paul Provenza capitalize on their insider status and invite over 100 of their closest friends--who happen to be some of the biggest names in entertainment, from George Carlin, Whoopi Goldberg and Drew Carey to Gilbert Gottfried, Bob Saget, Paul Reiser and Sarah Silverman--to reminisce, analyze, deconstruct and deliver their own versions of the world's dirtiest joke, an old burlesque too extreme to be performed in public, called "The Aristocrats."

  • I get why its funny now. I get why we laugh at this joke now. Its not really a funny joke by any means. The reason we laugh is because listening to the joke our level of discomfort is through the roof. The more uncomfortable we feel with this joke, the harder we laugh.

  • @TakumaMimura It's also because some people laugh at the absurdity of it all. You know? Something can be so absurd and unbelievable that we find it hilarious.

  • @Youngblood1701 Boondock Saints.

  • That guy with the irish(?) accent. Who is he? He seems so familiar

  • i feel like i'm going to hell just for listening to this joke...

  • tell the fukin joke already, damn it!

  • @davyjoe2000 best story yet on this documentary

  • hahahahahaha i absolutely love how carlin discusses the logistics of aim and getting solids lol.

  • I love the short simple brevity and "cleanliness" of the original jay marshall told.

  • @Rawk4Life actually (& you can look this up) the joke they're talking about was Johnny Carson's favorite joke. A special screening was set up for him but he died before it could take place, so the directors dedicated the film to him. Just saying, if you're going to disparage the likes of George Carlin, Jon Stewart, Sarah Silverman & Robin Williams, make sure you know what you're talking about.

  • I wonder why Bob Newhart, Bob Hope, Bill Cosby, Rich Little, and Johnny Carson were never approached for this documentary. That's right, they don't believe in extremely grotesque humor.
