Bellator 38 moment Richard Hale locks in an incredible inverted triangle submission on Nik Fekete

Fekete looked to rely on his wrestling skills early with a double leg takedown, but quickly found himself in a compromised position as the 6'4" Hale hung off his opponent's back, locking in an inverted triangle choke with Fekete still standing. In a déjà vu moment that would make Toby Imada proud, Fekete dropped to his stomach, losing consciousness from Hale's Submission of the Year candidate inverted triangle choke.

Pretty obvious this man was out for atleast 10 seconds before the ref stepped in.

The pressure from the left leg is cutting of the artery on one side of the neck and the pressure of his own shoulder pushing against the neck (due to the leg pushing his shoulder) cuts of the artery on that side of the neck. The choke therefore cuts circulation to the brain. Doesn't affect breathing what so ever.

How does this submission work? Does it cut the circulation to the brain, arms, lungs, heart, or chest? Or does it restrict the movement of the lungs to stop breathing? I don't see how it can cut circulation to the brain since Hale's legs weren't exactly on the Fekete's neck.
