Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, describes how, when working through one of lifes unavoidable problems, a friend offered him encouragement by saying, I know this must be a difficult time for you. Here was Fr. Franks response. Thank you for your support and for being a friend. But let me share my perspective with you. No passing problem or sorrow can be as bad as the difficulty I live with every single day, namely, that thousands of my brothers and sisters are being slaughtered in their mothers womb by abortion. The world by and large is oblivious to it, the law protects the violence rather than the babies, and were afraid to do what it takes to stop it. Thats what makes for difficult times. Theres a strange but real consolation in looking evil in the face and fighting it.

  • If life is so precious then don't eat animals.

  • @TickleMehNancy Listen, do you see a difference between eating an animal and eating a person? If so, then you see the difference between protecting a human life and protecting an animal. We're talking here about the killing of human beings.

  • I am not happy about life when I know millions of innocent children are being MURDERED by their own mothers..... It sickens me to no end!

  • By the way, Fr. Frank: since you are a major voice on "life" issues and the "culture of life versus the culture of death' has the United States ever engaged in an illegal and immoral war according to the precepts of the Just War theory?

    By the way, what war(s) was that?

    A few suggestion:

    1. Genocidal War against the Native Americans;

    2 The Civil War that killed about 1 million people;

    3. The Mexican War

    4. The Spanish American War

    5. WW!

    6. The "Banana Wars" in Central America and Haiti

  • @chilloften Just Americans? Why not the whole damn world?

  • Thank you father, you are right. And I like how you state the facts. WHEN will Americans stand together as one!

  • @FrFrankPavone That is a bad analogy. You say all life is sacred yet partake in the killing of animals. The Buddhist and Hindu priests believe all life is sacred hence why they don't believe in killing bugs even and humans and cows. And if your reasoning is because of killing humans, then you shouldn't care about people taking the morning after pill (which is just ending the potential for a human not an actual human). I don't like abortions either. But I am still pro choice.

  • @exzucuh Very well put. Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • How much must our God weep as he sees the most helpless of this, his pinnacle of creation, destroyed for selfish convenience.

  • Thank you Fr. Pavone. You are in my prayers as well as the mothers and babies.
