"When I Close My Eyes" is a moving piece that uses pictures and voiceovers to tell the stories of refugees from Kakuma refugee camp in Kakuma, Kenya. Each person's story begins with the words "when I close my eyes" and they then proceed to tell of the images that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. Many remember the lives they left behind in their native countries and tell of family they may never see again. War, violence, death, and hunger are common themes throughout the narratives, and Marie Ange Bordas has presented the stories in a compelling and touching way.

Strong video. I appreciate hearing the voices and seeing the images of Kakuma. I cannot image what it would be like to be a refugee.
