Almost noiselessly and hardly visible in the dusky twilight, an armored scout car is advancing among dry shrubbery and sharp-edged rocks and boulders.
It is moving towards a small village in a secluded area of Afghanistan.
Perfectly concealed with their low silhouette, other vehicles of this reconnaissance unit are positioned behind a long, sweeping hill. The raised sensor head of the observation and reconnaissance assembly gives the crew unobstructed rearward vision.
The successful message comes in by radio: No proceedings. The patrol unit withdraws.
