Isn't this plan just another band-aid to fix a much more complex problem?
If you really want to help the economy give at least part of that money to a school or a social or environmental organization. The money will recirculate through your community and benefits will be much longer lasting than a new shirt.
At least consider spending this money at locally owned businesses. It will have a much better chance of staying in your community instead of wealthy corporations who already have enough.
