EDIT(04/12/11): Since this video was shot, I was incarcerated and spent, rather wasted, 8 months of my life at County jail. During that time all my stuff stayed under my baby momma's "care" and unfortunately all the fish in the tank died :(, they were all doing so great already. I am so sad the puffers died. But oh well, can't turn back time and there are other more important things to take care of. But hopefully soon I will set up a bigger and better tank. Thanks for watching the video.

This is a video of my new 40 gal SeaClear acrylic tank.

The tank mates at the moment are 2 GSPs "Fee-Fee" and "Puff", 3 tiger barbs (will probably become dinner soon), 1 Mandarin (Violet) Goby "Ogg". There are also 3 adult Ghost Shrimp (1 female for sure) and one Fiddler Crab (female).

This is a low-end brackish water aquarium at the moment, I am gradually raising its gravity/salinity. This tank was fully cycled in about 4 days using Nutrafin's Cycle products of course about 5 gallons of water and 15lbs of gravel added to this set up where already cycled.

I am not an aquarium expert, but I research and try to stay on top of what going on with my fish and its aquarium. I am aware of the stats, requirements and setup for the fish I intend to keep, the GSPs and Goby. With that said, I will accept any advise from professionals or people who know what they are talking about and why, not the common YouTube Lawyer/Troll talking out of his ass or Wikipedia.

To see the parts used in the aquarium look at the end of the video in the credits. For more information, please comment and ask away. Thanks for watching.

  • This is a very nice aquarium and I am so sorry that your fish died. So I am some what an expert in aquarium keeping and your setup is superb. Keep up the good work.

  • @Blackfire169 Thanks. It's funny. I was just sending my Atty. about several things. This tank was one of them. Thanks. I am sorry too, I liked that fish and the tank setup. Maybe once this is over I will attempt it again.

  • Would i be able to put a few tiger barbs in a brackish aquarium? 1.005 salinity

  • @RetardisMaximus You might be able to build them up to it, but they will probably not survive.

  • I dig this set up. Simple. Check mine out! I don't have a video up yet of my 40 gallon, I deleted them all so I'll get one up soon.

  • @deeshizzlee Sure I would check it out if there is a photo or something. Thanks.
