  • yea we should def support productive and professional black operations...i have sat for hours in hair salons in the past and I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN! One of the perks of being natural is I get to do my own hair:)

  • I agree with you fully! I have gotten up with wet hair (after waiting 2 hours total) paid the lady $20 and went home and finished my hair. Terrible for these hairstylist to triple book and have you waiting because WE DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH OUR HAIR. They realize this so they wash you and put you under the dryer to keep you content; knowing you won't leave.

  • The black hair care salons u speak of are not inconsiderate. Rather they have put great consideration into how to maximize their dollars by overbooking, wetting heads in order to assure that no one leaves the salon without forking over that money.

  • @TheHeartfeltHoney One of the benefits of having natural hair is that you can do it yourself. Spending all day in a salon is not my thing.

  • New subscriber!

LOL @ the head tilt "Excuse me?"

  • I definetly agree. I remember when I spent a whole day waiting to be seen, then wating to be styled.

    NEVER again!

  • I trust that you are well by now.... :) But I totally understand. I don't like waiting at all! The last time I waited a long time, it was my fault. I forgot to sign in. lol But one of the reasons I went natural is that I can't stand the "wait" at hair salons. The wait wouldn't be that bad if I was even acknowledged!!!! Some ppl don't even acknowledge you....

  • Preach sistah Preach on!

  • Yes, we need to do it with every service. I think that's why a lot of places have gone out of business (besides the economy). I think everyone should think, "how long did I have to work to make X to pay for this?" You'll save a lot of money if you are determining if the service or lack there of is worth it.

  • I have been in a similar situation before. When I call them on it, then they pull that "Oh, so you want to got to the white man now?" Huh? It was like they felt like I should put up with a nasty attitude or poor service just because we have the same skin color. What is up with that?

  • i totally agree with you...everything is about client relations these days. i work too hard for my money to be treated as you say "shitty" LOL

if i get excellent service, i am willing to pay a little more for the same product
