I was lucky enough to see her in 2006 in concert and she was spectacular.  I had seen her once before about ten years earlier and it amazed me the strength of her voice after so many years. Because she was a jazz singer and not a pop or rock and roll singer, she never got her props. She was an amazing onstage performer before she took ill.

All these bandwagon jumpers are hilarious in how disingenous and uninformed they are. No one viewed Codebear's video until Etta passed away and now they want to comment like they were profoundly touched by her and shame on others. This is the show and all guests know this and are presented this way--think of when shows have an ice skater and a singer in the background. They always split up the coverage when a guest is invited to sing on a show that is first and foremost about something else.
