@Jayramjiki123 The D3100 is newer and has better image quality and video features. That said, the D5000 is still a great camera and I still recommend it - especially if buying the D5000 means you have more money for a better lens.

@megsypu i do believe the difference regarding what appears semi expert and pro is little these days. d7000 is perhaps all we all need. go to... freedslr . co m remove spaces and get an opportunity to win completely new Nikon D7000
