Xcel Pro Showdown at Supertubes 2011

The Xcel Pro Showdown at Supertubes is over for 2011, and it was Shaun Payne who overcame his
 older brother Ryan in the final, in the process ending his sibling's hopes of claiming a hat-trick of titles
in the event.

Squaring off in the final, Shaun managed to find the higher scores in the dying swell to snatch victory
and the first prize of R10 000 cash, a styling PU 51-30 Nixon watch and perhaps most importantly, a
coveted slot into the Von Zipper Superheat -- which affords the winner a wildcard into the Billabong Pro J-Bay Dream Tour event scheduled for next month.
