@zaki7868 Allahs knowledge is everywhere not Allah himself as Allah can not be in his creation as that is putting Allah in a place. Only Allah's Creation is put in time and place

But it seems like those who are considered 'sufi' are constantly being bashed along with every other muslim that isn't what people have labelled 'salafi'? What is this?
Can you tell me more about this idea of Salafi, so I can understand who and what they are? They come across as very hard line and slightly over the top sometimes, and I think perhaps I'm missing something here?
May Allah keep us on a straight way.

I've visited homelands of people who others consider sufi? I wish I was a sufi, from what I've seen they've left the Dunya behind have followed the path of Quran and Sunnah and haven't got a bad thing to say about other sects of Islam. And Allah knows best.

I'm sure that there are people who have taken tassawuf/tazkiyah too far, the same can be said for some who consider themselves salafi, taking their 'thing' too far. I try to keep a middle way, and so does Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, who has devoted his life to Allah and His deen, and Allah knows best.

Na'am I understand the sisters point and your point on people asking these questions, "Are you Salafi?", a lot of people in Philly whom claim to be Salafi are weak in their deen.
